The "Caveman" is a generic neanderthal man that lived in a cave. His appearance is closer to that of a normal aardvark than modern day characters are.
In "D.W. Tale Spins," he told stories to his people, and a young caveman who was listening one day passed the story to the next generation.
In the intro of "The Cave," he starts a fire just before the sun sets, but the wind unfortunately blowed it out.
