Ludwig van Beethoven was a German composer and pianist.
- He was seen on a book Buster showed Arthur in "Arthur vs. the Piano". Arthur tried to imitate Beethoven's serious expression, but doing so made his face hurt.
- Dr. Fugue's cat, Fur Elise, is named after Für Elise, a song by Ludwig van Beethoven.
- He is shown as a human rather than an anthropomorphic animal on the book.
