Arthur's Faraway Friend is an episode from season 2 that was shown with the episode Arthur and the Square Dance, which first debuted on January 28, 1998. It is episode 42 for the television series.

Summary

Arthur and Buster start writing their own adventure book based on Robin Hood, but Buster is leaving for a couple of months.

Plot

Arthur and Buster are on the urge of finishing their story for the sequel of Robin Hood. Everything is well until Arthur discovers that Buster has decided to go on a long trip to bond with his dad. Arthur fears that it's the end of their story and their friendship!

Trivia

  • In Arthur and Buster's fantasy, Binky Barnes is always portrayed as the enemy.
  • When Buster waves good-bye to Binky, Binky is coloured slighty darker than he usually is, or he is a different person.
  • In the episode Buster Hit's the Books Arthur was the faster reader, but in this story, Buster is the faster one.
  • The pictures Buster sends to Arthur can be seen as a slideshow in the episode, The Ballad of Buster Baxter
