Francine wears a pair of "movie star glasses". They have green frames with no glass lenses.
In the episode "Arthur's Eyes," she begins to wear them after learning that actor Wilbur Rabbit wears glasses, but in the original book Arthur's Eyes, she wears them after seeing Arthur's own confidence in wearing his new glasses.
The glasses are seen again in "Arthur's Spelling Trubble" when Francine wants to "really concentrate" while studying.
