Arthur Read is my all-time favourite Arthur character, because:

He is the main character, first of all.
He is usually kind and friendly to just about everyone, even DW deep down inside (like in the episode "Operation: DW!").
Though he has some flaws and obviously isn't perfect (as is everybody), Arthur Read is by far my favourite character on Arthur.
