For the Birds is the first half of the 4th episode of Season 12. It first aired on October 27, 2008 along with "Ungifted".
Summary
One morning, Brain hears on the radio that a supposedly extinct Green-Tailed Grebe was spotted in the woods outside Elwood City. He tries to be the first to take a picture of it, but Buster learns about it too, and he doesn't keep secrets very well.
