Greg Bailey is the real-world Director of Arthur. He has served as Director for the entire length of the series.

In the opening of "Crushed", Buster breaks the fourth wall and tells Greg to roll the tape. Greg later makes cameo appearances as a TV news anchor in "War of the Worms" and "D.W. Unties the Knot".

His signature can also be seen on the sign-up list at the Ice Cream Shop in "Arthur Loses His Marbles".

It is also likely that Muffy's butler, Bailey, is named after him.
