Mr. Haney immediately called Homeland Security and they sent in a bomb squad to the school. Meanwhile in the cafeteria, Arthur and his friends were talking about how new Woogles were being produced, but of course they said it was stupid and changed the topic.

Out of the blue, they heard sirens and everything seemed red and blue from the police sirens. The gang’s talking went quiet. Rattles didn’t reply back to his question, so Binky demanded an answer.

A minute later they heard a man on a megaphone telling them to evacuate from the cafeteria which everybody found strange. He told them how there was some bomb threat crap etc.

The students went into a panic. They rushed to the door, except a few unconscious, one of them happening to be the rich brat Muffy. Francine tried to carry her to safety but she was too weak to carry another person. Francine tried to scream but it sounded like a very faint whisper from the sirens.

Mr. Morris did not show up today. He just overslept. He chose a very shitty day to oversleep.

For a split second, everything went quiet. Then there was screams of terror. All everybody could see was a red light, and some smoke. Everybody was injured and rushed to Elwood City Hospital, the closest actually well-equipped hospital to the small city of Elwood.

The door was locked which was awkward, because students sometimes go outside to eat their lunches. Everybody was stuck in building.

Chapter 1

It was a normal day in Elwood City, Arthur was doing his normal morning routine, at home getting ready for school at Lakewood Elementary.

He caught the bus, with not much time to spare. Arthur was tired from not getting that much sleep from a storm.

Muffy was dropped off in her limosuine. It was loud around Lakewood Elementary with parents trying to drop off their kids for school.

School started late for the class because Mr. Ratburn showed up late.

Arthur fell asleep about 10 minutes into to Mr. Ratburn lecturing the class.

Time was passing slowly that day, unusually.

The lunch bell rang and Arthur woke up.

Mr. Ratburn told everybody to do the normal routine, make a single file line in alphabetical order.

Mr. Ratburn's Class arrived, got their lunches, and took their seats. In the meanwhile in Mr. Haney's office, Ms. Tingley rushed into Mr. Haney’s Office, seeming worried.

Chapter 2

Ms. Tingley, Mr. Haney's secretary, said that the school had received a bomb threat over the phone. The electricity went out half way through the phone call so Ms. Tingley did not get much information. But, none of the students noticed that there was no electricity. Mr. Haney tried to contact the authorities, but ended up having to send Mr. Read, catering for the school at the time, to go to the police. They managed to get Homeland Security, who sent in a bomb squad in case there really was a bomb in the school.

All of a sudden, their talking was interrupted by police sirens. The gang’s talking went quiet. Rattles chuckled a little, but attempted to hide it from the other Tough Costumers. Binky got defensive and tried to figure out was Rattles was laughing about, even though the sirens were very loud and he had to talk loud. Expecting that Rattles did something, Binky said “What’s did you do man?” in a serious tone for Binky Barnes, a Tough Customer. Rattles never did reply to Binky's question, so it was left unanswered.

Chapter 3

A minute later they heard a man on a megaphone telling them to evacuate from the cafeteria which everybody found strange. He told them how there was some bomb threat crap etc.

The students went into a panic. They rushed to the door, except a few unconscious, one of them happening to be the rich brat Muffy. Francine tried to carry her to safety but she was too weak to carry another person. Francine tried to scream but it sounded like a very faint whisper from the sirens.

George tried to open the door but it was locked. Everybody knew only Mr. Morris had the keys, because Mr. Haney lost the other set of keys.

Arthur woke up hours later in the hospital, sometime around 5 PM. Arthur didn't know what happened so he attempted to question himself.

Chapter 4

He was in a body cast and was unable to move his body. He managed to move his eyes up, and he saw the TV. The Channel 2 news was on it. It was about an explosion at Lakewood Elementary.

There was a woman on the news, her name was Millicent Crosswire she was sobbing because her daughter died from the bomb. The name sounded familiar, but Arthur could not manage to remember who it was. Her face also seemed familiar to him.

Suddenly, it all came back to him. The lady on TV was Muffy’s mother. He did not remember much, but he knew what happened because of the news.

Chapter 5

Arthur’s family, along with Grandma Thora, walked into the hospital room where Arthur was staying. Arthur was in a coma for a couple of hours. Arthur’s mother noticed the heart monitor.

/\_/\_____________________________________

She screamed for the nurse, careless about the other patients at the hospital.

Arthur didn’t think it could be. All of his friends, their lives taken away just like that.

Arthur tried to yell for help, but he could not do it, as hard as he tried. Arthur saw his mom crying. But why? Arthur wasn’t dead, he was right there!

The nurse noticed what had happened to Arthur.

Arthur heard the nurse say that he died, but Arthur thought he was still alive because he could still see everybody in the room.

After a while of trying to believe he was alive, he just gave up.

Arthur had died.

Chapter 6

In the meanwhile, it was CNN’s top story of the day. Every national news station was trying to cover the story just as good as everybody else.

The police found out that the bomb was put under one the school’s cafeteria tables, the table where the Tough Customers usually sit. But today, they didn’t sit at that table. The Tough Customers were the first suspects of the bombing, but nobody figured they would be that violent other than being the generic school bullies that every school has so they just let it be.

Rattles couldn’t take what he did. He confessed to the police when he turned himself in. Rattles himself didn’t make the bomb, but somebody else did for him, Rattles spending all his birthday money on it. Rattles also had somebody call in the bomb threat for him. Rattles got the bomb and snuck into the school at 5:30am, almost getting caught by Mr. Haney.

Nobody ever went back to Lakewood Elementary, it would just be a distant memory for everybody.
