Philip Seymour Hoffman (called William Phillmore Toffman in the show) is a famous stage director from Crown City. He directed many plays like True East, Jimmy Hopped The C Train and decided to return to Elwood City where he started his first play It Began with a Whistle. He helped Fern be able to adapt her own character to the roll of the character Little Lucy in "No Acting Please."
