The Emperor of ancient China appeared in "What's Cooking?" in Ming Tsai's imagination. In the legend of the potsticker, the emperor's cook accidentally boiled dumplings for too long, and they became shriveled and crunchy. The cook's son presented the meal anyways because the emperor was hungry, the emperor loved it, and declared all his dumplings will now be potstickers.
