L.A.D. is a Life-like, Automated Dad. He is made of dummy parts and pieces from the robotic cat Buster saved
from the tree (Buster Baxter, Cat Saver ). It can stand, sit and read a newspaper. But it can only say "Meow" because Brain forgot to replace the voicebox. It short-circuited and exploded shortly after use.
